HEY THERE, I’M ALEX.
Better stories, intimate communities and intentional leadership in the age of noise.
I’m a communication strategist, community builder, speaker, writer, podcaster and four-time founder working at the intersection of storytelling, leadership and deeply human-centred strategy.
I was born in South Africa to musician-artist parents and grew up across multiple cultures, living in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. That early exposure shaped how I think about culture, communication, belonging and communication, not as abstract concepts, but rather as lived, human experiences.
Over time, one insight kept repeating itself: community and communication are inseparable.
When either breaks down, performance, trust and direction follow.
I’ve founded four companies, delivered seven-figure campaigns across SaaS, energy, and travel, advised boards and executive teams, and helped shape pitch decks that raised millions for healthtech and blockchain ventures.
But the work has never been about scale for its own sake.
Across business, creative projects, and community-building, the throughline has been the same: helping people cut through complexity, find shared meaning and act with clarity when the pressure is real.
The future of work is uncertain, but what it requires from us is not.
It demands leaders who can think clearly under pressure, communicate honestly and embody authentically to ultimately bring people together around work that feels genuinely worth doing.
Not more alignment decks, but lived values alignment.
That capacity - to create clarity, meaning and momentum in uncertain conditions - is the human premium I help organisations and individuals develop.
My perspective hasn’t been shaped only in boardrooms.
I’ve lived and worked across cultures, spent years immersed in creative practice and produced a documentary exploring underground music culture in Vietnam, learning firsthand how meaning, trust and belonging emerge long before systems, titles or strategies are introduced.
Alongside this, I’ve been deeply engaged in mythopoetic men’s work: spaces centred on presence, responsibility, emotional literacy and grounded leadership.
Together, these experiences shaped a quiet but unwavering mission: to help reinvigorate the business world through deeper contact with purpose, integrity and spirit.
To make room for work that feels alive, humane and worthy of those doing it. Because when businesses reconnect with the inner lives of the humans inside them, something essential returns: clarity, courage and a sense that the work actually matters.
That is what builds the kind of community connection we’re all after.
